Building the Foundations for a Global Metaverse With Translucia
The Opportunity
In 2021, Thailand’s T&B Media Global set out to build one of the world’s most ambitious virtual ecosystems: Translucia, a metaverse designed not just for entertainment and commerce, but for societal and economic transformation.
However, delivering this grand vision came with immense technical challenges:
- Creating a trusted identity and transaction infrastructure for a borderless virtual economy.
- Designing systems to enable secure wallet creation, seamless token transfers, and KYC compliance.
- Supporting a massive user base spanning education, real estate, retail, entertainment, and healthcare sectors.
- Laying the groundwork for scalable marketplaces, social networks, and payment rails, all in a persistent 3D environment.
- Building foundational systems that could be trusted by a conglomerate investing hundreds of millions of dollars into the project.
- T&B Media needed more than a theoretical roadmap, they needed battle-tested, scalable, compliant Web3 infrastructure to turn vision into reality.
The Solution
In 2022, T&B Media partnered with Pellar to design and deliver the core technology layer underpinning Translucia’s first-generation launch.
Pellar built and delivered:
- Identity Systems: A secure user management platform including account creation, profile management, and real-world KYC integration.
- Wallet Infrastructure: Native digital wallets tied to each user identity, capable of sending, receiving, and storing tokens seamlessly.
- Marketplace Technology: Full stack infrastructure enabling users to buy, sell, and trade digital assets within the Translucia ecosystem.
- Social Features: Tools for users to follow others, post content, engage on timelines, and build community-driven social graphs.
- Payments and QR Transfers: Instant token transfers via QR codes, enabling real-world meetups, retail use cases, and simplified peer-to-peer transactions.
All core systems were delivered across web, mobile, and admin interfaces, ensuring full coverage for both end users and operational teams.
The architecture recommendations — including economic models, ecosystem design, and future-proof scalability — were crafted to integrate seamlessly into LightLink, a full chain abstraction Layer 2 blockchain built for massive real-world adoption. With LightLink serving as the blockchain backbone for all future expansions.
Initial projects under its umbrella, like Mittaria, have achieved early successes. Translucia’s full technical launch is on target for late 2025, with Pellar’s foundational technology ready to power its vision.
Results
- Core Infrastructure Delivery: Identity, wallet, marketplace, social, and payment systems built and deployed.
- Strategic Impact: Paved the way for LightLink’s broader Web3 ecosystem expansion.
